“One of Armand's greatest strengths
as a teacher is his remarkable patience.
He understands that each student has their own learning pace and tailors his lessons accordingly. Whether it was a beginner struggling with basic chords or an advanced student working on complex techniques, Armand provides individualized attention and guidance to help them progress effectively.”
- Pete Scarlata, Music Director/General Manager School of Rock Roslyn 2009-2015
I’ve had a deep love for music since I was 5 years old and my older brother introduced me to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and the Who. Later on, my dad showed me Black Sabbath, the Doors, and Santana. My sister showed me the Grunge bands, and the rest of the great rock music was left for me to discover as a teenager.
I love sharing my knowledge of the guitar with people who have the same dream I had when I was a kid of picking up the instrument and transforming yourself into a rock star. I specialize in teaching classic and modern rock, but I also love to dive into pop, folk, or really any genre that utilizes the guitar. We’ll focus on giving you the ability to stay engaged with the instrument by learning your favorite songs, while also adding in basic music theory and the fundamentals of the fretboard. I’ll offer song suggestions in our lessons that focus on particular strumming patterns and picking techniques to help you build the foundation for rocking out. During our zoom consultation, we can go over what your goals are and how we can achieve them!
I also play lead guitar in a 90s rock cover band called No Alternative:
No Alternative - My Hero (Live at DROM)
No Alternative - Basket Case (Live at DROM)
